How to use your speed test results
Test your home page and a page customers use to enquire or buy. Repeat the same page after a change, so you can compare like with like. This test does not run from an Irish mobile network.
If Google’s speed service is unavailable, the result says so. Server response time and page size still help diagnose a problem, but do not replace a mobile performance test.

How do I find out if my website is slow?
Enter your address above. We ask Google's own speed service (PageSpeed Insights) how your page does on a phone, and we separately measure how long your server takes to answer and how much data your home page pushes. If Google's service is busy, we fall back to our own measurement and say so on the result.
What counts as slow?
Google classifies Lighthouse scores of 90 to 100 as good, 50 to 89 as needing improvement, and below 50 as poor. This is a simulated test, not a measurement of every visitor. Compare the individual findings and repeat the test before deciding what to change.
What actually makes a site slow?
Large images, unnecessary scripts, slow server responses and missing caching can all contribute. Start with the evidence in your result rather than assuming hosting or a particular plugin is responsible.
